[Music] Hey guys my name is Yusef Yarrito, physical therapist here at XOPT. Hey guys Luis Garza, I’m the aquatic physical therapist assistant here at XO orthopedics. Fantastic my name is dr. Chapel, I’m an upper extremity specialist and I’m just honored to be here the guys from XO orthopedics decided to have me down to talk a little bit about what we do and how we can help patients here in the valley and what we have to offer. Well just a little bit about, where are you from. yeah been around everywhere for my training all over the United States but born and raised in Louisiana and the world is where I grew up I’m an LSU Tiger. I went to Baton Rouge from my undergraduate and then I went to University of Texas at Houston for my medical school. Did my general surgery here in South Carolina, in Greenville and then from there I went over to Oklahoma and that’s where I fell in love with shoulder elbow and hand surgery. From there I did a one-year fellowship in Mississippi with dr. William Geisler he’s a world-famous hand surgeon. Came back to the valley and practice orthopedics for two years but I realized that they really needed a specialist for shoulders and elbows. And I’m just honored to bring that down to the valley. What’s the most popular general population that you normally. Sure yeah so I take essentially almost all of the trauma call at Rio Grande Regional Hospital car crashes, hip fractures, ankle fractures, wrist fractures, you name it, so I do a little bit of everything when I’m on trauma car call. But my passion for elective practice is shoulder elbow and hand surgery and I love helping people with my tactics for shoulder surgery here in physical therapy. I mean we have the pleasure of you know helping a lot of your patients as well and every patient that comes into my clinic with shoulder pain my first priority is to get them better without surgery yeah nobody can do that without the effects or the help of a good physical therapist, a good high quality team, a multidisciplinary approach. Surgery is only half the battle, therapies the other half. And a good therapist with a good surgeon will give you the best likelihood of a good outcome. I think aquatic therapy is a good segway to get those patients back to their full activities on dry land. what is the most common and or your fear procedure? I had the honor of training with dr. Markman one of the best shoulder surgeons in the world. I learned exactly his techniques and I’m bringing those techniques down to the valley. There’s just so many different options and things that I’m bringing to the table that weren’t here before I came and I’m just so excited about that. So if a patient wants to reach out to you you know where exactly are you located or how exactly can they go about that. One of the things that I love about my location is I can literally walk from my office to this facility and that is just huge for patient care. I think having access to to both of us, is very good for patient outcomes. My office is located right across from Rio Grande Regional Hospital. The entire patient experience there is fantastic and I am all about good outcomes and patient experience, and I wouldn’t change a thing about what patients are going through over there. Doctor whenever anybody goes through clinic, what kind of experience would they be getting from your staff? I have really got a team of people surrounding me that makes me able to do my job. I mean from the moment you walk through the door and you meet Adriana, my front desk lady, you’ll you’ll meet Eliana, my practice manager, Michelle, my MA, who god, she’s my right-hand girl, there’s no way I could do my job without her in the back. Pablo, my x-ray person, we’ve got supporting cast with Julio, we’ve got verismo. Everybody in that clinic is just as passionate and just as dedicated to patient care as I am. Alright guys so we’re gonna be signing off here from XO Orthopedics where today it hurts, tomorrow it works, that’s right excellent let’s do it!
